Blenheim

In the creek beside the campsite is the home of eddy the eel and his fellow eels. They eat practically anything, especially meat. Kids gave them a treat before we hit the road for more wine tasting.

Eddy the eel
Mauhi, and Huia got a share of the Janlert money and our KEA wine cellar grew a bit more.

With good wine in the belly, (poor Kalle had to spit out) and nicked Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, it was again time to hit the road. Again we experience riding through a tourist brochure and arrive in Havelock for a heavenly green shell mussel lunch at Slip inn.  A pit stop in Nelson at the Swedish café where we bought, chokladbollar, pepparkakor, dammsugare and sourdough bread! A bit sweeter than we are used to but still great! Tired we arrived at our destination, Marahau. Marahau is at the south end of Abel Tasman national park and its very famous for beautiful scenery. Our Lonely Planet guided us to the Barn, a chill out backpacker place with beautiful camping area and we got seaview, paddock view with pony and nice Swedish neighbours. Early bedtime, tomorrow is trekking Abel Tasman park time.
