More rain...

The rain continues, the monsoon period should be over but its raining all over Southern Thailand. So this day will be schoolday all day. We have decided to stay in Koh Lipe despite the rain. The island is so nice, thaipeople are so friendly and we have still more diving we want to do. And its also great to do almost nothing. If the rain is not stopping we may also cancel our Laoliang stay. Living in tents with heavy rain is not really what we are longing for. Heard yesterday about the bombs in stockholm. Really strange feeling to hear about the news and being so far away. Cheers Pernilla

Landing in Thailand

Hitting warm Bangkok was really nice after a 2 hr delayed BA flight. Tried the train into Asok station which was really a good thing. Bangkok traffic is really busy so taxi could have taken 2 hrs instead of 1 as the train takes. Grand Mom and Dad met up and we had a happy reunion. Bangkok offers a lot of interesting things and we tried a boat tour which included snake show (depressing to seeing how the poor animals are treated) and fish feeding, Siam waterworld (well worth visiting) and offcourse shopping. Since we are carringeverything on our backs, shopping was very modest :). After a few days we said see you soon to Grand M and D and hit for Koh Lipe. Really easy to get here. Taxi directly from the airport to the pier of Pak Bara and speed boat out to Koh Lipe. Boat was full of thai people, 5 December is the kings birthday so its a public holiday. We are now staying in Varin village, a small resort with bamboo huts. Its like living in a childrens playhouse! After 3 days we have made house career and have two beachfront bungalows. Today Oskar started his diving course, and doing very well. Klara and Vera are looking like two mini Bo Dereks and are so cute. We have sand between our toes, sunshine in our eyes and fall a sleep listening to the ocean!

Heathrow Airport

Hello everyone! We left our house this morning. This morning were quiet boring. Mum and dad had to do the last preparations and went all mad :D. My uncle Per drove us to Arlanda airport. The lunch tasted like water thought it was a curry and chicken  ( I took soup).

We have now landed at the Heathrow airport in London. :) Now we are waiting in the lounge, they have internet and there is no one running around. Also you get fre stuff like chips and power bars.. The only minus is the stereos that are screaming out the departures, anyone who not cover their ears probably get deaf :O. Hope everyone enjoys school and work?

AroundTheWorld haircut

Busy packingday! Mission is to have backpacks ready by tomorrow... Bookd flight tickets down to Hat Yai from Bangkok. Easier to fly than go by train they say and we will probably be very tired the first day.
Apart from backpacks there are schoolbooks to be scanned and tidy up the house. Now soon off to namegiving party and Thanksgiving with the family Wikforss-Green.

Oskar got a new style... Aroundtheworld haircut, a totally different boy!

15 days to go

So much to do and so little time left... Still no one looking after our guinea pigs. Tha rabbit goes to fantastic sister and the cat goes to grandma. guinea pigs are not that hot on the market though.
Tomorrow meeting with school and present our education plan for Oskar. Maybe I should do PPT :-)?
Preparation for Saturday party has at least come to invitation stage.
Todays travel drawback is train from Bangkok is 1st class is fully booked and from the reviews 2nd class is not a good option.
Time for Cholera vaccine and off to bed.
